Compact enough to throw in the trunk on the way to the job site, it drills holes ranging from 2" to 4" in diameter under a standard sidewalk in less than five minutes — powered by a Makita® 40V MAX XGT battery motor.

Why It's Different: This is the cordless version of the SiBore SB216 — a Makita® 40V MAX XGT battery replaces the gas engine, so there are no fuel, no fumes, and quieter operation, ideal for enclosed or emissions-sensitive job sites. It uses the same waterless boring method, so there's no mud and little cleanup. Pair it with the GeoRipper® handheld trencher for the fastest, safest production.

Best For: Landscapers, irrigation installers, plumbers, and electrical contractors who want a cordless, low-emission boring drill for running pipe or wire under sidewalks, driveways, and walkways.

Features

Makita® 40V MAX XGT battery-powered motor

Enclosed, grease-lubricated transmission with spur gear reduction

Waterless boring method — no mud, minimal cleanup

Drills 2" to 4" diameter holes under a standard sidewalk in under five minutes

Weighs just 54 lbs with the 4" auger — compact and portable

Auger sizes: 2" and 4", plus 32" extensions

Includes a weather-resistant, tough nylon accessory case that holds (2) augers, (3) 32" extensions, and (1) SiBore Drill

Pairs with the GeoRipper® handheld trencher

Specifications

SiBore SB216e — Battery-Powered Horizontal Boring Drill

Model

SB216e

Power

Makita® 40V MAX XGT battery-powered motor

Transmission

Enclosed, grease-lubricated, spur gear reduction

Weight

54 lbs (with 4" auger)

Bore Diameter

2" – 4"

Auger Sizes

2" and 4"

Extensions

32"

Boring Method

Waterless

Included Case

Weather-resistant nylon case holding (2) augers, (3) 32" extensions, and (1) SiBore Drill

Brand

SiBore
