Warranty

Warranty Basics▾
AMGO Hydraulic Corporation offers one of the strongest warranties in the industry, covering items that are inoperable or have a manufacturer's defect under our written warranty conditions. Warranty documentation is included with every shipment. If you run into a problem, please call AMGO first so our team can troubleshoot with you by phone — we'll walk you through any warranty service personally. Coverage applies to the 48 contiguous United States; if you are located outside this area, please contact us before placing an order to confirm coverage. Consumable parts (such as rubber pads) are not covered, and installation and operation must follow AMGO's written specifications and instructions exactly — failure to do so may eliminate warranty coverage.
Warranty length
Coverage is tiered by component category:

1. Steel Structure Components — 5 Years. Includes columns, carriages, lifting arms, top beam, floor cover, platform, cross beam, car drive-in ramp, scissor, and base plate.

2. Hydraulic Parts — 3 Years. Includes cylinders, oil seals, oil hoses, and fittings.

3. Other Parts, Electrical Components, and Power Unit — 2 Years. Consumable parts (such as rubber pads) are not included.
Remedies and costs
If a covered defect occurs during the warranty period, AMGO Hydraulic Corporation will send replacement parts at our own cost via standard ground shipping. If you need parts more quickly, expedited shipping is available at the customer's expense. AMGO does not compensate customers for downtime while equipment is out of service, nor for time lost if freight is not delivered on the date or in the timeframe estimated by the freight company.

A few responsibilities sit with the customer. You must inspect your shipment at the time of delivery and refuse it if it appears damaged — you have the right to inspect the packaging regardless of what the driver says. If an item looks possibly damaged but you choose to accept it, please note the possible damage on the carrier's acceptance slip when signing. Hidden freight damage must be reported to both the freight carrier and AMGO within 48 hours of delivery. Please also open all packages within 48 hours of receipt and inventory the equipment to confirm nothing is missing — notify us within that 48-hour window of any shortages or problems. If a shipment is accepted clean and damage is discovered later, the customer is responsible for filing the freight claim.

The exclusive three-height adjustable setting from AMGO is the specification that makes the OH-12S the correct choice for shops with ceiling heights that do not accommodate standard commercial two-post lift configurations. Three installation heights of 143.125, 155.125, and 167.125 inches allow matching the lift to the building rather than the building limiting the lift selection.

Twelve thousand pounds on a clear-floor two-post design provides the capacity and floor access combination that serious commercial truck service requires. Clear floor means transmission jacks, differential stands, and service equipment move freely under the vehicle from any angle without base plate interference. The four three-stage arms handle short to long wheelbase trucks with the same lift without adjustment swaps.

The dual hydraulic direct-drive cylinders on the OH-12S deliver synchronized lifting that keeps both columns rising at the same rate under asymmetric loads from full-size trucks with uneven weight distribution. Synchronized lifting prevents the tilting that creates lateral stress on the vehicle and safety concerns for the operator. The aircraft-quality synchronization cables maintain that synchronization across the full lift range.

Steel structure components including columns, carriages, arms, and cross beam are covered for five years. Hydraulic cylinders, oil seals, and hoses for three years. Electrical components for two years. Each component is covered for its expected service period.

The self-lubricating UHMW polyethylene sliders are the maintenance-free column guide specification. UHMW polyethylene has an extremely low coefficient of friction against steel and does not require periodic lubrication for smooth carriage travel. In a commercial shop where lift maintenance is squeezed between service jobs, self-lubricating guides reduce the maintenance burden without allowing column wear to develop.

The overhead safety shut-off device prevents the vehicle from contacting the overhead cross beam when lifting taller vehicles or vehicles with roof racks. This automatic protection is the correct safety engineering for a 12,000-lb overhead lift in commercial shops where vehicles of varying heights are serviced daily. No operator action required and no vehicle contact with the structure.

W

The single-point safety lock release that simultaneously unlocks both columns from one side is the correct operational design for a commercial shop where one technician must manage the lift safely without a second operator. Reaching between the vehicle and the column to release the opposite side in a separate operation creates a safety exposure that the single-point release design eliminates.

Detachable toe guard and tool tray on the OH-12S provide floor-level safety and organization without permanent fixtures that interfere with rolling equipment. Toe guard prevents foot injuries from carriage contact during column descent. Tool tray keeps frequently used service tools adjacent to the lift without taking up floor space that rolling equipment needs. Both detach when not needed.

The minimum pad height of 4.5 inches accommodates the vehicles that require wheel-contact lifting with the AMGO 20806 or 20807 adapters. Having an AMGO two-post lift with adapter-compatible arm specifications and the adapter set available as an accessory purchase creates a complete service solution for conventional and low-chassis vehicles on the same lift.

At 12,000 lbs this lift handles the full-size heavy-duty truck and commercial van category that represents the most demanding service in a commercial shop. The four three-stage arms reach the lift points on extended wheelbase trucks and vans that shorter single-stage arms cannot access without the vehicle being off-center on the lift.

The 69-second lift time to full height is the commercial operational specification. In a shop doing multiple vehicles per day across multiple bays each additional minute of lift cycle time multiplies into significant daily productivity impact. 69 seconds from floor to working height keeps the OH-12S from being the limiting factor in service bay throughput.

The automatic arm restraints on the OH-12S lock the arms in position once set so they cannot fold back under vehicle load or be knocked out of position during service operations. Arms that can move during service create a catastrophic failure risk. Automatic restraint on a 12,000-lb commercial lift is the correct safety specification.

The 2 HP 220V 60Hz single-phase motor provides the power to move 12,000 lbs smoothly to maximum lift height. Motor specification on a heavy-duty commercial lift matters because an undersized motor strains under maximum load which creates heat and reduces motor life. The 2 HP specification at 220V is correctly sized for the 12,000-lb rated capacity.

M
Molly F.

Clear-floor design eliminates the base plate crossmember that standard two-post lifts use to connect the columns at floor level. In a busy commercial shop that base plate creates a trip hazard and blocks rolling equipment. The OH-12S clear floor allows unrestricted movement of transmission jacks, differential stands, and service carts from any direction at any time.

The heavy-duty single-screw rubber pads with 3-inch and 6-inch extension adapters included as standard equipment provide immediate capability to lift vehicles with varying frame heights without accessory purchases. Extension adapters are commonly required for lifted trucks and tall SUVs where standard pad height does not reach the frame rail. Having them in the box avoids a service delay on the first lifted truck.
