Warranty

Warranty
Warranty basics
Challenger Lifts, Inc. (CLI) warrants its lifts to the original owner only; the coverage is not transferable. CLI will, at its discretion, repair or replace any part that is found on inspection to be defective during the applicable warranty period. Coverage applies only when the lift is installed, operated, and maintained in line with CLI's installation, operation, and maintenance instructions. Using unapproved parts or accessories voids the warranty, as does any repair attempted by someone who is not a CLI authorized service representative. Normal maintenance, adjustments, wear and tear, and damage from improper handling, abuse, misuse, or negligence are not covered. The warranty is valid only if the lift is registered with Challenger Lifts; registration must be completed online (challengerlifts.com/register-your-lift), otherwise the warranty period begins from the invoice date of purchase.
Warranty length
5 years on structural parts, 2 years on functional parts, and 1 year on labor. Structural parts include the carriage, columns, column extensions, overhead beams, arms, cross beams, runways, wheel stops, ramps, bolsters, sync rails, and plungers. Functional parts include power units, cylinders, sheaves, sheave pins, hoses, hydraulic and pneumatic fittings, cables, adapters, latches, valves, and controls.
Remedies and costs
Repair or replacement of defective parts is the exclusive remedy under this warranty. For the covered period, CLI also pays reasonable transportation and/or labor costs to replace those parts. This warranty is exclusive and replaces all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, which is expressly excluded. No employee, agent, dealer, or other party may extend warranties on CLI's behalf. CLI is not liable for special, consequential, or incidental damages arising from any breach or delay in performance of the warranty. The warranty is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jefferson County, Kentucky.

FAQs

What is the lifting capacity of the Challenger MR6? ▾
The Challenger MR6 has a maximum lifting capacity of 6,000 lb (2,722 kg), with a 1,500 lb capacity per arm. This handles passenger cars, compact and mid-size vehicles, crossovers, and light trucks within the weight limit. The scissor frame distributes load evenly across the platform, and the sliding/rotating arms with rubber contact pads accommodate various lift point configurations.
What is the rise height of the Challenger MR6? ▾
The MR6 provides 53 inches of rise height at the table surface. Minimum pad height starts at 8.625 inches when collapsed, and maximum pad height reaches 60 inches using the included 7-inch tall adapters. The lift completes a full rise cycle in 45 seconds, and six mechanical lock positions allow you to secure the platform at various heights throughout the range.
What are the concrete floor requirements for the Challenger MR6? ▾
The MR6 requires a concrete surface with minimum 4-inch thickness, steel reinforcement, and 3,500 PSI strength. The concrete must be cured for at least 28 days and be level within 0.25 inches over the installation area, free from cracks, seams, and deterioration. Do not operate on asphalt or unstable surfaces. The lift is suitable for both indoor and outdoor operation on appropriate concrete.
What electrical power does the Challenger MR6 require? ▾
The MR6 operates on standard 115V, 60Hz, single-phase power and requires a dedicated 20 amp circuit breaker. The 1 HP electric/hydraulic power unit mounts on the included tow dolly and connects to the lift via a 144-inch hydraulic hose. This voltage configuration works with typical shop outlets and many home garage electrical setups without requiring 208-230V upgrades.
What adapters come with the Challenger MR6? ▾
The MR6 includes both short adapters with 3-inch extension and tall adapters with 7-inch extension as standard equipment. Rubber contact pads on the sliding and rotating arms are also included. This complete adapter set accommodates factory lift points on vehicles ranging from compact sedans to full-size SUVs, covering both unibody pinch welds and frame-contact lift points.
Does the Challenger MR6 require permanent installation? ▾
No, the MR6 is a portable surface-mount design that does not require anchoring or permanent installation. The electric/hydraulic power unit mounts on a heavy-duty tow dolly with handle and wheels, allowing single-person repositioning between bays on suitable concrete surfaces. This portability lets shops share one lift across multiple bays or relocate it for indoor and outdoor operation.
Can the Challenger MR6 be used outdoors? ▾
Yes, the MR6 is suitable for both indoor and outdoor operation when positioned on appropriate concrete surfaces meeting the specified requirements. The portable tow dolly design allows repositioning between indoor bays and outdoor work areas as needed. Do not operate on asphalt or unstable surfaces. The powder-coated finish provides weather resistance, though covered or sheltered outdoor locations are recommended for extended outdoor use.
