Warranty

Warranty
Warranty basics
Challenger Lifts, Inc. (CLI) warrants its lifts to the original owner only; the coverage is not transferable. CLI will, at its discretion, repair or replace any part that is found on inspection to be defective during the applicable warranty period. Coverage applies only when the lift is installed, operated, and maintained in line with CLI's installation, operation, and maintenance instructions. Using unapproved parts or accessories voids the warranty, as does any repair attempted by someone who is not a CLI authorized service representative. Normal maintenance, adjustments, wear and tear, and damage from improper handling, abuse, misuse, or negligence are not covered. The warranty is valid only if the lift is registered with Challenger Lifts; registration must be completed online (challengerlifts.com/register-your-lift), otherwise the warranty period begins from the invoice date of purchase.
Warranty length
5 years on structural parts, 2 years on functional parts, and 1 year on labor. Structural parts include the carriage, columns, column extensions, overhead beams, arms, cross beams, runways, wheel stops, ramps, bolsters, sync rails, and plungers. Functional parts include power units, cylinders, sheaves, sheave pins, hoses, hydraulic and pneumatic fittings, cables, adapters, latches, valves, and controls.
Remedies and costs
Repair or replacement of defective parts is the exclusive remedy under this warranty. For the covered period, CLI also pays reasonable transportation and/or labor costs to replace those parts. This warranty is exclusive and replaces all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, which is expressly excluded. No employee, agent, dealer, or other party may extend warranties on CLI's behalf. CLI is not liable for special, consequential, or incidental damages arising from any breach or delay in performance of the warranty. The warranty is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jefferson County, Kentucky.

FAQs

What is the lifting capacity of the Challenger SRM10? ▾
The Challenger SRM10 has a maximum lifting capacity of 10,000 lbs, making it suitable for full-size trucks, SUVs, vans, and heavy-duty vehicles. The individual axle weight should not exceed one-half of the lift capacity (5,000 lbs per axle).
What are the space requirements for the SRM10? ▾
The SRM10 requires a minimum service bay of 10' x 24', though 12' x 24' is recommended for comfortable working space. The lift itself measures 87.5" wide (including handle) by 92.875" long for surface mount installation. Remember that the lift moves vehicles rearward 13.25" when raised.
What electrical power does the SRM10 require? ▾
The standard SRM10 operates on 115V single-phase, 60Hz power with a dedicated 20-amp circuit breaker or time delay fuse. A 230V configuration is available as an option. Standard household 115V power makes this lift accessible for home garage installations.
Can the SRM10 be flush mounted? ▾
Yes, the SRM10 can be installed as either a surface mount or flush mount configuration. Flush mounting requires a prepared pit (specifications in the installation manual) and provides a drive-over installation with 17.75" rise height and lock positions at 9.5", 14.125", and 17".
What is included with the SRM10? ▾
The SRM10 comes complete with the lift assembly, drive-on ramps (surface mount), power unit with stand, hydraulic hose and fittings, lock release mechanism, two-position spotting blocks, rubber lift pads, anchor bolts, hardware, safety decals, and complete documentation. Hydraulic fluid is not included - 6 quarts of 10W anti-foam hydraulic oil or Dexron III ATF is required.
How is the SRM10 shipped and delivered? ▾
The SRM10 ships via freight carrier with free shipping to commercial addresses in the 48 contiguous United States. A forklift or loading dock is required for unloading. Curbside delivery is standard. Inspect all packages before signing the bill of lading and note any damage on the delivery receipt.
What are the concrete requirements for installation? ▾
The SRM10 requires a minimum 4" thick steel-reinforced concrete floor with 3,500 PSI minimum strength, cured for at least 28 days. The floor must be level within 3/8" over the installation area. No anchors can be placed within 8" of cracks, edges, or expansion joints. Do not install on asphalt.
What is the difference between the lock positions? ▾
The SRM10 provides three mechanical locking positions for different working heights. Surface mount: 13.75", 18.25", and 21.25". Flush mount: 9.5", 14.125", and 17". Multiple positions allow you to select the optimal height for the specific service being performed.
How do the two-position spotting blocks work? ▾
The standard two-position spotting blocks can be set at either 4.75" (low) or 6.75" (high) adapter positions. This allows you to properly reach manufacturer-recommended lift points on vehicles with varying frame heights and undercarriage clearances.
Can the SRM10 be installed outdoors? ▾
No, the SRM10 is rated for indoor use only. Outdoor installation is prohibited. The lift has an operating ambient temperature range of 41-104°F (5-40°C). Installing outdoors would void the warranty and create safety hazards.
What maintenance does the SRM10 require? ▾
Daily: Inspect spacer pads and lock release mechanism. Weekly: Inspect all parts for damage. Monthly: Lubricate lock bar pivot and hinge joints, inspect concrete around anchors. Semi-annually: Check and refill hydraulic fluid, inspect hoses and seals. Always keep anchor bolts tight and the lift clean. Refer to the manual for complete maintenance procedures.
