Warranty

Warranty ▾
Warranty basics
Challenger Lifts, Inc. (CLI) warrants its lifts to the original owner only; the coverage is not transferable. CLI will, at its discretion, repair or replace any part that is found on inspection to be defective during the applicable warranty period. Coverage applies only when the lift is installed, operated, and maintained in line with CLI's installation, operation, and maintenance instructions. Using unapproved parts or accessories voids the warranty, as does any repair attempted by someone who is not a CLI authorized service representative. Normal maintenance, adjustments, wear and tear, and damage from improper handling, abuse, misuse, or negligence are not covered. The warranty is valid only if the lift is registered with Challenger Lifts; registration must be completed online (challengerlifts.com/register-your-lift), otherwise the warranty period begins from the invoice date of purchase.
Warranty length
5 years on structural parts, 2 years on functional parts, and 1 year on labor. Structural parts include the carriage, columns, column extensions, overhead beams, arms, cross beams, runways, wheel stops, ramps, bolsters, sync rails, and plungers. Functional parts include power units, cylinders, sheaves, sheave pins, hoses, hydraulic and pneumatic fittings, cables, adapters, latches, valves, and controls.
Remedies and costs
Repair or replacement of defective parts is the exclusive remedy under this warranty. For the covered period, CLI also pays reasonable transportation and/or labor costs to replace those parts. This warranty is exclusive and replaces all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, which is expressly excluded. No employee, agent, dealer, or other party may extend warranties on CLI's behalf. CLI is not liable for special, consequential, or incidental damages arising from any breach or delay in performance of the warranty. The warranty is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jefferson County, Kentucky.

FAQs

What is the lifting capacity of the Challenger VLE10? ▾
The Challenger VLE10 has a lifting capacity of 10,000 lb (4,536 kg) with a maximum of 2,500 lb per arm. This capacity handles most passenger cars, trucks, SUVs, and crossovers. Loads must be distributed across all four arms for safe operation.
What is Versymmetric arm technology? ▾
Versymmetric is Challenger's arm design that allows both symmetric and asymmetric lifting configurations from the same lift. The three-stage front arms and two-stage rear arms provide the reach range needed to position vehicles centered (symmetric) or offset toward the rear (asymmetric) for improved door swing clearance. This eliminates the need for separate lifts or arm swap kits.
What ceiling height does the VLE10 require? ▾
The standard VLE10 requires a minimum 12-foot (144 inch) ceiling height. The lift measures 143.875 inches overall height with the floor-to-overhead switch at 137 inches. For taller vehicles, the optional VLE10EH2 extension kit increases overall height to 167.875 inches, requiring a minimum 14-foot ceiling.
What electrical power does the VLE10 require? ▾
The VLE10 operates on 208-230V single-phase power at 60Hz with a 3 HP motor. A dedicated 30 amp circuit with breaker or time delay fuse is required. This is standard shop electrical service and does not require three-phase power.
What are the concrete floor requirements? ▾
The VLE10 requires a minimum 4 inch thick concrete floor with steel reinforcement and a minimum compressive strength of 3,500 PSI. The concrete must be cured for at least 28 days and be level within 0.375 inches over the installation area. No anchors should be installed within 8 inches of any crack, edge, or expansion joint.
What is the arm reach range on the VLE10? ▾
The three-stage Versymmetric front arms reach from 22.3125 to 39.375 inches. The two-stage rear arms reach from 38.375 to 55.375 inches. The double telescoping screw pads add 4.25 to 6.75 inches of additional height adjustment for precise lift point contact.
Can the VLE10 be extended for taller vehicles? ▾
Yes, the VLE10EH2 column height extension kit adds 2 feet to the lift columns, increasing overall height from 143.875 inches to 167.875 inches. The extension maintains full 10,000 lb capacity and includes new length cables and all required hardware. This allows shops to service high-roof cargo vans, ambulances, and lifted trucks without replacing the entire lift.

The Versymmetric technology on this lift is the real deal. I can lift the same car symmetrically for certain jobs and asymmetrically for others without changing anything on the lift. The 3-stage front arms and 2-stage rear arms give a wide sweep that covers everything from compact sedans to full-size trucks. This is a seriously capable 10,000 lb lift.

The Direct Spot Technology that comes with the Versymmetric offset arms actually saves noticeable time when positioning short-wheelbase vehicles. Less adjusting, less repositioning. Our techs picked up on it quickly and now they don't want to use anything else.

Setup required 208-230V single phase which we already had wired for our previous lift. Swap was clean and the VLE10 was operational the same day. Performance has been flawless since. The Versymmetric arms really do make a difference for mixed vehicle types

We run a busy independent shop and this lift gets worked hard every day. Double telescoping screw pads give solid contact on all our vehicles and the single-point lock release is smooth every time. Zero complaints from our technicians.

Fits our 12 foot ceiling bay perfectly at 11.875 inches standard height. The padded overhead shutoff system has already protected a customer vehicle from door contact once. Little safety details like that matter when you're running a busy shop.

10,000 lbs handles everything in our service lineup. The rubber door guards on the arms have already saved a couple of nice vehicles from dings. The premium powder coat is holding up well in our shop environment — no rust, no chips after nearly a year.

The 5-year structural warranty with 1-year labor and parts coverage gives good peace of mind for a busy shop. Challenger backs their products and the VLE10 is built to justify it. This lift is going to be in our bay for a long time.

Best value 2-post lift we've bought. The Versymmetric arms make it flexible enough for any vehicle type we get in and the build quality is way above what you'd expect at this price. Plated arm restraints and pins mean we're not dealing with rust issues either.

honestly one of the bets lifts ive used at this capacity 😄 the versymmetric arms are super flexible, my guys arent fighting to position vehicles anymore. drive thru clearance at 8'9" is comfortable even for our bigger trucks. very happy

The single-point mechanical lock release was once exclusive to Challenger's higher-end CL series and now it's standard on the VLE10. That feature alone tells you how much value is packed into this lift at this price point. Been in daily shop use for 7 months without any issues.
