Warranty
Warranty Basics▾
All equipment is covered against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under the 5-2-1 Limited Warranty. Coverage applies only to the original owner and is non-transferable. All equipment must be installed and used indoors — equipment installed outdoors is not covered.
The warranty does not include electronic parts such as circuit boards, switches, and display panels. It also does not cover wearing or abused parts including cables, hoses, slider blocks, chains, gears, wedges, and rubber pads.
The warranty is voided by improper installation, operation, abuse, modifications, unauthorized repairs, overloading, lack of maintenance per the manual, or continued use of the equipment during a warranty investigation.
Also not covered: normal maintenance (cable adjustments, lubrication), on-site labor or service-call fees, damage from flood, fire, corrosion, or acts of God, and cosmetic defects such as paint scratches or color variations.
To start a warranty claim, the customer must provide a copy of the purchase invoice. Photos or videos may be requested by our warranty department. Defective parts will be repaired or replaced at our option upon inspection.
Freight on warranty parts is covered — we pay all shipping and freight-related charges for replacement parts within our service area for as long as the part remains under the 5-2-1 Limited Warranty. If the customer wants the replacement shipped before the investigation is complete, payment in full is required upfront, with a refund or credit issued once the part is confirmed defective.
The customer is responsible for loading and unloading warranty replacements. If all repair options are exhausted with no resolution, the equipment will be exchanged for new equipment of equal value at no additional charge, or upgraded with the customer paying the price difference.
FAQs
What is a scissor lift used for in an automotive shop? ▾
An automotive scissor lift is commonly used for tire service, brake work, detailing, body work, inspections, and general maintenance tasks.
Daytona scissor lifts are designed for shops and garages that require reliable lifting performance while maintaining a compact footprint.
What is the difference between a mid-rise and high-rise scissor lift? ▾
A mid-rise scissor lift, such as the Daytona LMS6, is ideal for tire service, brake repairs, and quick-service applications where full standing height is not required.
A high-rise scissor lift, such as the Daytona LHS7, provides increased lifting height for improved vehicle access and more extensive service work.
Are scissor lifts suitable for low-clearance vehicles? ▾
Yes. Many scissor lifts feature low-profile designs that make them an excellent choice for sports cars and other low-clearance vehicles.
Always verify the lift's lowered height, vehicle clearance, lifting points, and any required accessories before purchase.
How do I choose the right scissor lift capacity? ▾
Select a scissor lift with a rated capacity that exceeds the weight of the vehicles you intend to service.
Daytona scissor lift models are available in capacities such as 6,000 lbs. and 6,600 lbs. For heavier vehicles, consider Daytona's full range of automotive lifts.
