Electric Powered Roll Pallet Truck — V-Cradle Forks Built for Cylindrical Loads
Standard pallet trucks can't safely handle rolled materials — carpet rolls, paper rolls, fabric rolls, and industrial cylindrical loads roll off flat forks. The EPT-RL solves this with specialty V-cradle forks that securely hold cylindrical loads during transport, paired with electric drive and lift for productivity. Move heavy rolls between warehouses, trailers, and work areas without the manual handling that causes worker injuries.
Why It's Different: The reinforced welded forks have a V-shaped cradle geometry that securely seats cylindrical rolls between the fork prongs. Adjustable tie-rods allow fine-tuning of fork spacing for optimal roll support. Combined with 4,500 lb load capacity, high-torque DC drive and lift motors, and advanced safety systems, this is the productivity tool for any operation handling heavy rolled materials.
⚠️ Choose Your Roll Diameter Range — Critical Decision:
-
EPT-4048-45-RL — Handles roll diameters from 35-1/2" to 51". Best for carpet rolls, fabric rolls, smaller paper rolls, and mid-size industrial rolls.
-
EPT-4548-45-RL — Handles roll diameters from 47-1/2" to 63". Best for large paper rolls, jumbo industrial rolls, and oversized cylindrical loads.
⚠️ Measure your roll diameters before ordering. Wrong-size rolls won't seat properly in the V-cradle — too small and the roll wobbles, too large and it won't seat. The two SKUs have some overlap (47-1/2" to 51" works on both), but optimize for the typical roll size you handle most.
Premium Safety System — Proprietary Emergency Reverse: When the operator activates the emergency belly switch, the unit instantly reverses direction and moves AWAY from the operator for 1.5 seconds. If the switch is held longer than 1.5 seconds, the entire unit auto-disables and requires reset before resuming operation. This advanced safety design prevents operator pinning incidents — one of the most serious risks in walk-behind powered material handling.
Electromagnetic Disc Brake with Dead-Man: The brake automatically engages when the operator releases the handle — no friction brake wear, more consistent braking force, and built-in safety for operator-loss scenarios.
Key Features:
-
V-Cradle Welded Forks — Secure cylindrical roll handling with adjustable tie-rods.
-
4,500 lb Capacity — Heavy-duty roll handling.
-
High-Torque DC Drive AND Lift Motors — Powered drive and powered lift.
-
Poly-on-Steel Steer and Load Wheels — Smooth indoor operation.
-
Ergonomic Handle — Variable throttle, infinite forward/reverse speed, fingertip raise/lower buttons, horn, emergency belly switch.
-
Reinforced Welded Steel Construction — Built for industrial daily use.
Best For: Carpet retailers and warehouses, flooring distribution, paper mills and printing operations, textile and fabric warehouses, plastic film and shrink wrap operations, foam and rubber roll handling, vinyl and roofing material distribution, and any operation moving heavy cylindrical rolls between work areas.
⚠️ For cylindrical rolls only — Not compatible with standard pallets, skids, totes, or flat-bottom loads. The V-cradle geometry is specifically designed for cylindrical loads.
⚠️ Indoor use only — Poly-on-steel wheels are designed for smooth warehouse floors. For outdoor or rough terrain, see our RT-EPT Rough Terrain Pallet Truck.
⚠️ Heavy unit (1,222-1,238 lbs) — LTL freight required. Forklift needed at receiving for offloading.
Documentation Note: Owner's manual is not currently published on Vestil's product page for this NEW PRODUCT. Engineering drawings, testing certificates, and SDS sheets ARE available (linked below).
