Did my homework, no regrets

Spent about 2 months researching lifts before pulling the trigger. Read every review I could find on Triumph, Bend Pak, Atlas, Forward. The NT-9 hit the right balance of capacity, build quality, price, and ALI certification for my budget. Installation was challenging but doable for me and a friend. Lifts have run smoothly since day one. Wish I had bought sooner.

Solid lift, install hardware is rough

Lift itself is great. Smooth operation, plenty of capacity for what I do, safety locks engage reliably. Knocking off a star because the install hardware was a real headache. Some of the bolts in the kit had different thread quality than others. Had to drive to Lowes to replace 2 bolts that were stripping with normal torque. Once it was together and calibrated its been flawless. Just budget some extra hardware in case.

I'll share a detailed install experience for anyone considering this lift. Concrete in my garage is 4.5 inches thick, rebar reinforced, 25+ years old. Triumph spec calls for 4 inch minimum with a strength rating I had not measured. Decided to drill some test holes and the anchor pull-test came back fine. Install itself took me and a buddy about 6 hours plus another 2 hours for the hydraulic bleed and calibration. Once running its been flawless. 4 months in, dozen plus jobs through it, including some heavy F-250 work. Solid investment for a serious home garage.

Strong lift, instructions are a maze

Real talk, the NT-9 itself is a solid piece of equipment. Lifts smooth, capacity is honest, safety locks engage like they should. Three stars instead of more because the installation instructions are genuinely confusing. Diagrams are tiny and printed off-center on the page. Some of the parts callouts dont match the labels on the bagged hardware. I have built things my whole life and even I had to YouTube three different steps. If you are not handy this would be a nightmare without a pro installer. Once it was up and calibrated its been flawless. Hope future versions ship with better instructions.

First lift in my home garage

Built a 3-car garage with 11 foot ceilings specifically to accommodate a 2 post lift. Looked at every option in the $2000-4000 range and the Triumph NT-9 came out on top for build quality. Installation was a 2-weekend project for me and my brother in law, mostly because we wanted to do it right. Once installed she runs like butter. Lifts my 6,500 lb F-150 easily, lifts the wife's Highlander, and gives me room to work on my 1968 Camaro project.

Lifts my 3/4 ton with margin

Was nervous the 9000 lb rating would not give me enough buffer for my 2018 Silverado HD. Reality is my truck weighs about 7400 lb empty and the lift handles it without complaint. The safety locks engage every 4 inches or so which I appreciate. Whole setup feels rock solid even at full height.

Replaced my old Forward Lift

Had a 1992 Forward Lift that finally needed retired after 30+ years. Looked at Bend Pak but couldnt justify $7K for a shop that only sees 8-10 cars a day. The NT-9 has been a great middle ground. Solid build, smooth hydraulic action, all the safety stops engage properly. About 5 months in and zero issues.

Solid lift for a one bay shop

I work alone in my one bay shop and needed a lift that I could operate solo without needing a helper to guide arms. The NT-9 is set up well for solo work. Arms swing easily, the controls are within reach from one side, and the lift speed is fast enough that I am not standing around waiting. Daily use for 4 months, no problems.

Asymmetric arms are clutch

Bought specifically for the asymmetric arm design. Lets you open car doors with the vehicle up, which is huge when you are doing interior work or pulling parts in and out. Lifts are solid, controls are simple, safety locks engage with a satisfying clunk.

Arnold made the install planning a breeze

Wanted to share how good my experience was with Blue Collar Planet. Called Arnold before buying because I had a few install questions about my garage. He told me straight up that my ceiling was a little marginal and explained which model would fit best. Also gave me a rundown of what to expect on the freight delivery. The lift arrived on the day promised, in good shape, and the install went exactly like he described. Glad I called instead of guessing.

Stepped up from a scissor lift

Had a mid-rise scissor lift for years which was fine for some jobs but limiting for anything requiring real access underneath. Upgraded to the NT-9 and the difference is night and day. Full underbody access standing upright is a game changer. Should have done this 10 years ago.

The arms fold back completely when not in use so I can drive into the lift position from either direction. That bidirectional entry is a practical garage workflow feature I didn't know I needed until I had it.

The motor is mounted on the side of one post which keeps it out of the work zone entirely. No power unit sitting in the middle of my bay taking up space or getting in the way of rolling equipment.

Feels stable, predictable, and easy for the guys to work with during long days. That matters more than flashy marketing features.

My teenage son uses this lift alongside me in the garage. The safety features dual-point locks, automatic positions, stable base, give me confidence letting him work under vehicles with proper supervision.

My garage floor is a standard residential slab. Had it tested before buying 3,200 PSI, just over the minimum. Install went fine and the anchors have held solid through 10 months of regular use.

Bought this because our old asymmetric lift finally died mid-week and we needed a replacement fast.

Honestly relieved we went with this one.

The footprint worked well in our tighter bay layout and the lifting height has been great for taller technicians in the shop. Little less crouching compared to the old setup.

Works for our tuner shop

Run a small Subaru and Honda tuning shop, lots of suspension work and exhaust fabrication. The NT-9 has been on duty every day for 7 months. Smooth lift, reliable safety locks, hydraulic system has not leaked a drop. Less than half the cost of the Bend Pak we considered and frankly I cannot find a real difference in daily use.

I've used BendPak lifts in commercial shops for years. The NT-9 at home performs at a level that genuinely surprised me. Not identical to commercial grade but far closer than the price difference suggests.

Six consecutive oil changes on six different vehicles in a single Saturday. The NT-9 cycled up and down all day without complaint. Motor stayed cool and hydraulics stayed consistent through every single cycle.

Post-install tip, apply a thin coat of spray lubricant on the lock rod every few months. Keeps the locking mechanism operating smoothly and prevents any stiffness from developing over time.

The 110V motor draws cleanly on my 20-amp circuit without tripping breakers or causing voltage drops on other circuits. Electrical behavior is exactly as spec'd, no surprises after installation.

The floor plate covers all hydraulic lines and cables completely. Nothing exposed at floor level to snag on or trip over. Clean, professional look that also genuinely improves day-to-day shop safety.
