Warranty ▾
Crary Industries, Inc. warrants every new Crary® Bear Cat® product to the original owner to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. Coverage applies to all Crary Bear Cat outdoor power equipment except gas engine and electric powered pressure washers, which are covered by a separate pressure washer warranty.
Coverage is established by a completed warranty registration on file with Crary Industries and/or proof of sale, and begins on the date of purchase. You can register online at bearcatproducts.com/Product-Support/Product-Registration.
The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear items such as batteries, bearings, belts, pulleys, filters, chipper blades and shredder knives
- Normal maintenance, service or adjustments
- Depreciation or damage from misuse, negligence, accident or improper maintenance
- Damage from improper setup, installation or adjustment
- Damage from unauthorized modifications
- Engines, which are warranted separately by the engine manufacturer
- Replacement components not manufactured or sold by Crary Industries
Crary Industries is not liable for property damage, personal injury or death resulting from unauthorized modification of a product, or from failure to assemble, install, maintain or operate the product as described in the owner's manual. No dealer or other person is authorized to make representations or promises on behalf of Crary Industries or to change the terms of this warranty. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary from area to area.
The warranty runs from the date of purchase, and the term depends on how the unit is used:
- Consumer use — three years in the U.S. and Canada, two years elsewhere. Consumer use means a complete unit used for personal, residential or non-income producing purposes.
- Commercial use — one year. Commercial use means a complete unit used for commercial, institutional, property management, agricultural, horticultural or income producing purposes.
- Rental use — six months. Rental use means a complete unit rented out to produce income.
Replacement parts and accessories are warranted for 90 days from the date of installation. Batteries for inverters and generators are warranted for 90 days from the date of purchase.
If a failure occurs, return the product to the selling Crary Bear Cat dealer along with proof of purchase. Shipping and transport costs are yours to cover.
Crary Industries will repair or replace any part found to be defective in material or workmanship, at its own option. Warranty coverage on a repair does not extend beyond the original product warranty period.
Repair or attempted repair by anyone other than an authorized Crary Bear Cat dealer is not covered, and neither is any failure or damage that results from that work.
Crary Industries is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages or injuries, including loss of crops, loss of profits, rental of substitute equipment or other commercial loss. Crary Industries also reserves the right to change the design or specifications of its products at any time without obligation to previous purchasers.
