Warranty basics
Challenger Lifts, Inc. (CLI) warrants its lifts to the original owner only; the coverage is not transferable. CLI will, at its discretion, repair or replace any part that is found on inspection to be defective during the applicable warranty period. Coverage applies only when the lift is installed, operated, and maintained in line with CLI's installation, operation, and maintenance instructions. Using unapproved parts or accessories voids the warranty, as does any repair attempted by someone who is not a CLI authorized service representative. Normal maintenance, adjustments, wear and tear, and damage from improper handling, abuse, misuse, or negligence are not covered. The warranty is valid only if the lift is registered with Challenger Lifts; registration must be completed online (challengerlifts.com/register-your-lift), otherwise the warranty period begins from the invoice date of purchase.
Warranty length
5 years on structural parts, 2 years on functional parts, and 1 year on labor. Structural parts include the carriage, columns, column extensions, overhead beams, arms, cross beams, runways, wheel stops, ramps, bolsters, sync rails, and plungers. Functional parts include power units, cylinders, sheaves, sheave pins, hoses, hydraulic and pneumatic fittings, cables, adapters, latches, valves, and controls.
Remedies and costs
Repair or replacement of defective parts is the exclusive remedy under this warranty. For the covered period, CLI also pays reasonable transportation and/or labor costs to replace those parts. This warranty is exclusive and replaces all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, which is expressly excluded. No employee, agent, dealer, or other party may extend warranties on CLI's behalf. CLI is not liable for special, consequential, or incidental damages arising from any breach or delay in performance of the warranty. The warranty is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jefferson County, Kentucky.

What vehicles can the Challenger 44030 lift? ▾
The 44030 has a 30,000 lb capacity and 230" maximum wheelbase, making it suitable for medium-duty trucks, delivery vehicles, box trucks, step vans, smaller buses, RVs, and fleet vehicles. Always verify your vehicle's weight and wheelbase fall within the lift's specifications before use.
What are the space requirements for the 44030? ▾
The 44030 requires a minimum bay size of 15'-6" x 30'-0" (standard configuration) or 15'-6" x 35'-0" (extended). The lift itself measures 24' 7.5" long by 12' 5.5" wide. A minimum ceiling height of 16 feet is recommended, though taller vehicles may require additional clearance.
What electrical service does the 44030 require? ▾
The 44030 operates on 208-230V single-phase power with a 3HP motor drawing 30 amps. It requires a dedicated circuit with a 30-amp time delay fuse or circuit breaker and minimum 10 AWG wiring (8 AWG preferred). Unlike larger models in the series, no three-phase power is required.
Can I install the 44030 myself? ▾
While the installation manual provides detailed instructions, professional installation is strongly recommended. Proper installation requires precise leveling, alignment, and anchoring to ensure safe operation. A concrete hammer drill, various hand tools, and 6 gallons of hydraulic oil are required. Improper installation may void the warranty.
What is included with the lift purchase? ▾
The 44030 ships complete with all structural components, chain drive system, power unit, hydraulic cylinder, pneumatic controls, diamond-plated runways and ramps, mounting hardware, anchor bolts, and installation manual. Hydraulic oil (6 gallons), electrical wiring, and installation labor are not included.
How is the 44030 shipped and delivered? ▾
The lift ships via freight carrier on pallets and crates to commercial addresses in the contiguous 48 states with free shipping. A forklift or loading dock is required for unloading. Curbside delivery is standard; inspect all packages for damage before signing the bill of lading.
Can I add rolling jacks to the 44030? ▾
Yes, Challenger offers optional 15,000 lb rolling air jacks (model WAJ15) that work with the 44030. Rolling jacks provide wheel-free service capability for brake work, suspension service, and tire changes. The runway spacing of 54" to 75" accommodates rolling jack installation.
How does the 44030 compare to the 44040 and larger models? ▾
The 44030 is the entry-level model in Challenger's heavy-duty chain-driven series, offering 30,000 lb capacity with single-phase power. The 44040 series and above offer 40,000-60,000 lb capacity with longer wheelbases (310"-430"), wider 32" runways, 10 lock positions, and three-phase power requirements. Choose based on your heaviest anticipated vehicle weight and wheelbase.
What concrete requirements must be met for installation? ▾
The floor must be minimum 4" thick reinforced concrete with steel rebar and minimum 3,000 PSI compressive strength. Anchor bolts must be at least 5" from any slab edge or seam. Maximum floor variation between any two posts is 2". Failure to meet these requirements may affect lift performance and void warranty coverage.
What maintenance does the 44030 require? ▾
Challenger recommends 30-day maintenance checks including inspecting and tightening all bolts, checking chain tension and adjustment, inspecting hydraulic lines for leaks, verifying safety latch operation, and checking anchor bolts. During the first week after installation, anchor bolts should be checked and tightened daily.
Can the 44030 be installed outdoors? ▾
No, the 44030's motors and electrical controls are not sealed against weather or moisture. Outdoor installation without proper enclosure may cause damage or electrical shock and voids the warranty. The lift should only be installed in a protected indoor environment.
