Warranty

Warranty
Warranty basics
Challenger Lifts, Inc. (CLI) warrants its lifts to the original owner only; the coverage is not transferable. CLI will, at its discretion, repair or replace any part that is found on inspection to be defective during the applicable warranty period. Coverage applies only when the lift is installed, operated, and maintained in line with CLI's installation, operation, and maintenance instructions. Using unapproved parts or accessories voids the warranty, as does any repair attempted by someone who is not a CLI authorized service representative. Normal maintenance, adjustments, wear and tear, and damage from improper handling, abuse, misuse, or negligence are not covered. The warranty is valid only if the lift is registered with Challenger Lifts; registration must be completed online (challengerlifts.com/register-your-lift), otherwise the warranty period begins from the invoice date of purchase.
Warranty length
5 years on structural parts, 2 years on functional parts, and 1 year on labor. Structural parts include the carriage, columns, column extensions, overhead beams, arms, cross beams, runways, wheel stops, ramps, bolsters, sync rails, and plungers. Functional parts include power units, cylinders, sheaves, sheave pins, hoses, hydraulic and pneumatic fittings, cables, adapters, latches, valves, and controls.
Remedies and costs
Repair or replacement of defective parts is the exclusive remedy under this warranty. For the covered period, CLI also pays reasonable transportation and/or labor costs to replace those parts. This warranty is exclusive and replaces all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, which is expressly excluded. No employee, agent, dealer, or other party may extend warranties on CLI's behalf. CLI is not liable for special, consequential, or incidental damages arising from any breach or delay in performance of the warranty. The warranty is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jefferson County, Kentucky.

FAQs

What is the lifting capacity of the Challenger CLHM-HTCJ-2000?
The Challenger CLHM-HTCJ-2000 has a lifting capacity of 2,000 lbs (907.18 kg), making it suitable for heavy-duty automotive and light commercial vehicle transmissions.
What is the lift height range of this transmission jack?
The CLHM-HTCJ-2000 has a minimum starting height of 30" and a maximum height of 72". The low starting height allows the jack to fit under vehicles on low-rise lifts, while the 72" maximum accommodates high-rise four-post lift applications.
What type of power does the CLHM-HTCJ-2000 require?
The jack features a two-stage design. The first stage operates on 100% compressed shop air for fast positioning, while the second stage uses air/hydraulic power for precise control during final positioning. You will need to connect the jack to your shop's compressed air supply.
How does the head plate adjust?
The head plate features an Acme threaded adjustment for easy height fine-tuning, 360-degree rotation for optimal positioning, and 30-degree fore and aft tilting capability. Four quick-ratcheting brackets allow rapid adjustment to accommodate different transmission sizes and shapes.
What is the warranty on the Challenger CLHM-HTCJ-2000?
Challenger Lifts provides a 1-year warranty covering labor, functional parts (power units, cylinders, hoses, controls), and structural parts. The warranty must be registered at challengerlifts.com and extends only to the original purchaser.
What is included with the transmission jack?
The CLHM-HTCJ-2000 comes with the complete transmission jack assembly including the adjustable head plate with Acme threaded adjustment, four quick-ratcheting brackets, retractable tow handle, lockable and steerable casters, and an operation manual. Shop air supply and fittings are not included.
How is the transmission jack shipped?
The CLHM-HTCJ-2000 ships via freight truck to commercial addresses in the 48 contiguous United States. The shipping weight is 670 lbs. You will need a forklift or similar equipment to unload the jack from the delivery truck, as curbside delivery is standard.
Can I use this jack with a two-post lift?
Yes, the 30" minimum height and 72" maximum height make the CLHM-HTCJ-2000 compatible with most two-post lifts. The low profile allows the jack to roll under vehicles while providing enough lift range to reach transmissions at comfortable working heights.
Is the Challenger CLHM-HTCJ-2000 made in the USA?
Yes, the CLHM-HTCJ-2000 is proudly manufactured in the United States by Challenger Lifts, Inc., based in Louisville, Kentucky. Challenger has specialized in automotive lifting equipment for over 28 years.
What is the difference between the two lifting stages?
The first stage is 100% air-operated and provides rapid lifting speed for quickly positioning the jack. The second stage uses air/hydraulic power for precise, controlled movements when aligning transmissions for installation or during removal. This two-stage design maximizes both productivity and safety.
What applications is this transmission jack suited for?
The CLHM-HTCJ-2000 is ideal for removing and installing heavy transmissions, transfer cases, and differentials. Its 2,000 lb capacity handles automotive, light truck, and many commercial vehicle applications in professional service shops, dealership service centers, and fleet maintenance facilities.
How do the casters work on this jack?
The CLHM-HTCJ-2000 features lockable and steerable casters that allow easy maneuvering throughout the shop. When positioning the jack for lifting, the casters lock in place to provide stable, secure operation. The retractable tow handle makes moving the jack between jobs quick and convenient.
