What is a completion kit and what does it include? ▾
A completion kit provides the hydraulic and electrical core of a Challenger inground lift. The EH10CK includes 8-1/2" chrome pistons, chrome non-breathing RAM-style hydraulic cylinders, the 2 HP power unit (208-230V, single-phase), standard wall-mounted controls, stainless steel air lock release cylinder, lock release valve bracket, hydraulic adapters, PVC chase coupling, and all installation hardware. It does not include the pre-kit foundation or the superstructure.
What other components do I need for a complete EH10 Hybrid inground lift? ▾
A complete EH10 Hybrid inground lift requires three component groups: the pre-kit foundation (below-grade sealed recycled polymer cassette tub and structural frame), this completion kit (chrome pistons, power unit, controls, and hydraulic hardware), and the superstructure (above-grade lifting arms with screw pads and adapters). All three must be purchased and installed for a functional lift system. Site infrastructure including electrical, compressed air, concrete, and installation labor must also be furnished separately.
What lift platform is the EH10CK compatible with? ▾
The EH10CK is engineered for the Challenger EH10 Hybrid inground cassette-style lift platform. It shares the same proven EnviroLift cassette architecture, 8-1/2" chrome piston bore, and mechanical lock system used across Challenger's inground lift family. Confirm your installed or ordered pre-kit model number before purchasing to ensure proper fit and compatibility.
What are the electrical requirements? ▾
The 2 HP motor requires 208-230V, single-phase, 60Hz power on a dedicated 30A circuit with a circuit breaker or time-delay fuse. Three-phase options (208/230/460V) are available for facilities with 3-phase power. The power unit motor must be mounted at least 18" above the finished floor per National Electric Code NFPA70. A licensed electrician must install and verify the electrical supply meets all local codes.
What air supply is required? ▾
The EH10CK requires 90-120 PSI compressed air that is clean, dry, lubricated, and pressure-regulated. The air supply must run through a Filter/Regulator/Lubricator (FLR) within 30 feet of the factory-assembled air valve. Failure to provide properly conditioned air voids the warranty on pneumatic components. Drain water from the air supply daily to prevent contamination of the lock release components.
What concrete is required for the pre-kit installation? ▾
The pre-kit foundation (purchased separately) requires a minimum 4" thick reinforced concrete floor rated at 3,500+ PSI, fully cured for 28+ days. New construction requires a dedicated excavation per the installation manual. Existing facilities require a minimum 6' x 11' block-out or saw cut. The completion kit cannot be installed until the pre-kit is set, backfilled, and the concrete is fully cured.
Is the completed EH10 Hybrid lift ALI/ETL certified? ▾
Yes. When the EH10CK completion kit is properly installed with the compatible Challenger pre-kit foundation and superstructure, the completed lift system is ALI/ETL certified and designed to the ANSI/ALI ALCTV standard. This certification ensures the lift meets or exceeds industry safety requirements for professional automotive service facilities. All three components must be Challenger factory parts.
What is the difference between a completion kit and upper components? ▾
A completion kit (CK) includes only the hydraulic and electrical core: chrome pistons, power unit, controls, and hardware. Upper components (UC) combine the completion kit and the superstructure into a single package. If you already have or are separately ordering a superstructure, the CK is the correct product. If you want the completion kit and superstructure bundled together, look for the UC designation.
Can I install the EH10CK myself? ▾
Professional installation by qualified lift technicians is required. Inground lift installation involves hydraulic system connections, electrical wiring, pneumatic line routing, cylinder bleeding, and safety-critical calibration that requires proper training, tools, and equipment. Improper installation will void the warranty and may create safety hazards. Contact us for installation service referrals in your area.
Can the completed lift be used outdoors? ▾
No. The EH10 Hybrid inground lift is rated for indoor use only within an ambient temperature range of 41 to 104 degrees F (5 to 40 degrees C). Outdoor installation is prohibited and will void the warranty. The pre-kit cassette, completion kit components, and all hydraulic and electrical systems are designed for climate-controlled indoor service environments.
