Warranty

Warranty
Warranty basics
Challenger Lifts, Inc. (CLI) warrants its lifts to the original owner only; the coverage is not transferable. CLI will, at its discretion, repair or replace any part that is found on inspection to be defective during the applicable warranty period. Coverage applies only when the lift is installed, operated, and maintained in line with CLI's installation, operation, and maintenance instructions. Using unapproved parts or accessories voids the warranty, as does any repair attempted by someone who is not a CLI authorized service representative. Normal maintenance, adjustments, wear and tear, and damage from improper handling, abuse, misuse, or negligence are not covered. The warranty is valid only if the lift is registered with Challenger Lifts; registration must be completed online (challengerlifts.com/register-your-lift), otherwise the warranty period begins from the invoice date of purchase.
Warranty length
5 years on structural parts, 2 years on functional parts, and 1 year on labor. Structural parts include the carriage, columns, column extensions, overhead beams, arms, cross beams, runways, wheel stops, ramps, bolsters, sync rails, and plungers. Functional parts include power units, cylinders, sheaves, sheave pins, hoses, hydraulic and pneumatic fittings, cables, adapters, latches, valves, and controls.
Remedies and costs
Repair or replacement of defective parts is the exclusive remedy under this warranty. For the covered period, CLI also pays reasonable transportation and/or labor costs to replace those parts. This warranty is exclusive and replaces all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, which is expressly excluded. No employee, agent, dealer, or other party may extend warranties on CLI's behalf. CLI is not liable for special, consequential, or incidental damages arising from any breach or delay in performance of the warranty. The warranty is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jefferson County, Kentucky.

FAQs

What does the EW10CK-QC completion kit include?
The completion kit provides the above-ground components needed to finish an EW10 inground lift installation, including the superstructure, 3-stage arm assemblies, standard pedestal controls, and the 3HP QuickCycle power unit. The underground cassette and cylinder assembly are separate components. Call to confirm exact included accessories for your specific order.
What's the difference between the EW10CK-QC and the EW10CK-BMC-QC?
Both kits include the QuickCycle 3HP motor with a 24-second rise time. The difference is the control type: the EW10CK-QC uses standard pedestal-mounted controls, while the BMC version integrates controls into a workbench. All other specs, including the 10,000 lb capacity, 88-inch drive-through clearance, and 3-stage arms, are identical between the two configurations.
What concrete and electrical requirements does this kit need?
The EW10 platform requires a single concrete pour for the cassette, which is simpler than older three-pour inground designs. Electrical requirements are 208V-230V single-phase power at 60Hz for the 3HP QuickCycle motor. You'll also need shop air between 90 and 120 psi for operation.
How fast does the QuickCycle version raise a vehicle?
The QuickCycle upgrade brings rise time down to 24 seconds, compared to 41 seconds on the standard EW1020 without QuickCycle. This is achieved through a larger 3HP motor versus the standard 2HP unit, making a noticeable difference in high-volume bays running back-to-back services all day.
Can this lift handle electric vehicles and EV battery service?
Yes. The EW10's 88-inch drive-through clearance is wide enough to lower EV battery packs. The optional EV Kit (Part #10900) adds low-profile EV-ready foot pads, universal foot pads, 3-inch and 6-inch adapters, and storage racks for safe EV lifting across multiple vehicle platforms.
Can I upgrade to bench-mount controls later?
The EW10 platform supports bench-mount controls (BMC) as an upgrade option. BMC integrates the lift controls into a workbench by button or lever, eliminating the standalone pedestal. If you think you may want BMC eventually, consider whether starting with the EW10CK-BMC-QC kit makes more sense for your bay layout.
Is the Challenger EW10 ALI/ETL certified?
Yes. Both the standard EW1020 and the EW1020-QC carry full ALI/ETL certification. This means the lift meets Automotive Lift Institute safety standards, which is typically required for insurance compliance and shop inspections.
What colors are available for the superstructure?
The EW10 superstructure is available in Black, Red, or Blue. Confirm your preferred color when placing your order so the correct panels ship with your completion kit. Color selection does not affect specifications or performance.
How is this completion kit shipped and what do I need for unloading?
The kit ships via flatbed freight truck. You'll receive a tracking number and schedule a delivery appointment with the carrier. A forklift or equivalent equipment is required for unloading, as standard delivery does not include unloading service. Contact us before ordering if you need liftgate or residential delivery options.
What warranty coverage comes with the EW10 completion kit?
Challenger provides a limited warranty to the original purchaser. For inground lifts in the 10K-15K range, typical coverage is 1-year labor, 2-year parts, and 5-year structural. The warranty is non-transferable and requires registration. Claims need the lift's serial number and must go through an authorized service representative.
