Warranty

Warranty Basics

All equipment is covered against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under the 5-2-1 Limited Warranty. Coverage applies only to the original owner and is non-transferable. All equipment must be installed and used indoors — equipment installed outdoors is not covered.

The warranty does not include electronic parts such as circuit boards, switches, and display panels. It also does not cover wearing or abused parts including cables, hoses, slider blocks, chains, gears, wedges, and rubber pads.

The warranty is voided by improper installation, operation, abuse, modifications, unauthorized repairs, overloading, lack of maintenance per the manual, or continued use of the equipment during a warranty investigation.

Also not covered: normal maintenance (cable adjustments, lubrication), on-site labor or service-call fees, damage from flood, fire, corrosion, or acts of God, and cosmetic defects such as paint scratches or color variations.

Warranty length
The 5-2-1 Limited Warranty has three tiers, all starting from the date of the purchase invoice: 5 years on structural components, 2 years on power units, cylinders, motors, power pumps, and seal kits, and 1 year on all other non-wearing defective parts.
Remedies and costs

To start a warranty claim, the customer must provide a copy of the purchase invoice. Photos or videos may be requested by our warranty department. Defective parts will be repaired or replaced at our option upon inspection.

Freight on warranty parts is covered — we pay all shipping and freight-related charges for replacement parts within our service area for as long as the part remains under the 5-2-1 Limited Warranty. If the customer wants the replacement shipped before the investigation is complete, payment in full is required upfront, with a refund or credit issued once the part is confirmed defective.

The customer is responsible for loading and unloading warranty replacements. If all repair options are exhausted with no resolution, the equipment will be exchanged for new equipment of equal value at no additional charge, or upgraded with the customer paying the price difference.

FAQs

What is a scissor lift used for in an automotive shop?

An automotive scissor lift is commonly used for tire service, brake work, vehicle inspections, detailing, body work, and general maintenance tasks.

Daytona scissor lifts are designed to provide reliable lifting performance while maintaining a compact footprint for shops and garages.

What is the difference between a mid-rise and high-rise scissor lift?

A mid-rise scissor lift, such as the LMS6, is ideal for tire service, brake work, and quick-service applications where full standing height is not required.

A high-rise scissor lift, such as the LHS7, provides greater lifting height for enhanced vehicle access and more comprehensive service work.

Are scissor lifts suitable for low-clearance vehicles?

Yes. Many scissor lifts feature low-profile designs that make them suitable for sports cars and other low-clearance vehicles.

Always verify the lift's lowered height, vehicle clearance, lifting points, and any required accessories before purchase.

How do I choose the right scissor lift capacity?

Select a scissor lift with a rated capacity that exceeds the weight of the vehicles you intend to service.

Daytona scissor lift options include 6,000 lb. and 6,600 lb. capacity models. For heavier vehicles, consider Daytona's broader lineup of automotive lifts.

What is the maximum lifting height of the LMS6?

The LMS6 has a maximum lifting height of 54".

This height is ideal for tire service, brake repairs, suspension work, and lower-body vehicle detailing.

Can the LMS6 handle low-profile vehicles?

Yes. The LMS6 features an ultra-thin design with a lowered height of only 5.5".

This low-profile design allows it to fit under most sports cars and lowered vehicles.

Are height extensions included with the lift?

Yes. Height extensions and lifting pads are included as standard equipment.

These accessories allow you to add between 2.5" and 8" of additional lifting height to accommodate a variety of vehicle frames and lifting points.

What are the electrical power requirements?

The LMS6 operates on a standard 120V, 1.5 HP, 15 Amp, Single-Phase (1PH), 60Hz power supply.

This makes installation simple and suitable for most residential garages and commercial workshops.
